Meeting Notes Automation:
Walt Miner shared progress on using an AI agent to automate meeting minutes and action items. This tool allows direct integration of meeting notes into Confluence without additional formatting steps.
Action Items Review:
Joel Winarske:
Finalized and released updates for the current milestone.
Investigated enabling Impeller by default for future releases (not yet completed).
Followed up on HDR support and related protocols in Weston. Joel noted that AMD ACS GPU composition stack is leading in color management and wide gamut support.
Preparing a roadmap presentation for the AGL All-Member Meeting.
Scott Murray:
Tested updated Meta-Flutter in QEMU.
Worked on VisionFive 2 setup and identified potential issues with the SD card controller's performance.
Addressed missing kernel configuration fragments for CAN support in AGL builds.
Plans to push changes to resolve CAN-related issues and test hardware CAN support.
AGL All-Member Meeting:
Scheduled for February 26-27, 2025, in Tokyo.
Joel Winarske will present a roadmap on February 26 at 4:45 PM (PST). He plans to pre-record the presentation and answer questions live.
Yuichi Kusakabe confirmed Honda's keynote participation on the first day.
Discussion on inviting non-AGL members to the event, with a capacity of 150-200 attendees. Walt Miner will provide guest registration codes for interested companies.
GSOC (Google Summer of Code) Projects:
Walt Miner encouraged attendees to suggest potential GSOC projects for 2025.
Joel Winarske mentioned ongoing work on automation and CI matrix testing, which could inspire project ideas.
Technical Updates:
Joel is working on CI matrix testing for Ubuntu OS variants (x86_64 and ARM64) using GitHub runners.
Scott Murray discussed hardware CAN support for VisionFive 2 and noted licensing issues with CAN FD support in the driver.
Other Updates:
Honda's presentation at the Automotive World event in Tokyo attracted over 500 attendees, showcasing AGL activities and generating significant interest in Japan's automotive industry.
Next week's meeting is canceled due to travel to FOSDEM.
